MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 424-350 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 1.61 g, 7 h). Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue. Rev. N-E-O-Π Head of the nymph of Neapolis to right, her hair coiled around her head and with a bun at the back. AMNG III, 2, 12. SNG ANS 430 ff. SNG Copenhagen 228. A beautifully toned coin of fine style. A few very minor marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
